Award-winning pizzaiolo Michele Pascarella is evolving his London-based restaurant group Napoli on the Road through the introduction of a fine dining experience at its soon-to-launch Soho site.

The Wardour Street restaurant, which is set to open in the autumn, will be Napoli on the Road’s third location in the capital and operate alongside its sites in Chiswick and Richmond.

Split over two floors, Napoli on the Road Soho will serve an à la carte menu on the ground floor that, as with its sibling sites, will feature fritti and antipasti alongside a regularly changing selection of seasonal pizza toppings.

The basement of the restaurant, meanwhile, will house a newly developed tasting menu concept that promises to ‘afford pizza the same care and creativity as a fine dining experience’ with detailed course explanations and curated wine flights.

“Soho is full of creativity, culture and open-minded attitudes,” says Pascarella.

“We’re so excited to add a new approach to pizza to the tapestry of Wardour Street.”

Pascarella founded Napoli on the Road in 2016 as a street food concept and launched his first bricks and mortar site under the brand in Chiswick in 2019.

A second restaurant, in Richmond, followed in 2023.

Napoli on the Road has received numerous accolades in recent years including being named Europe’s Best Pizzeria consecutively at the 2024 and 2025 50 Top Pizza Europa Awards.

Pascarella was also named Best Pizza Maker in the World at the 50 Top Pizza Awards in 2023.

“Soho was where I first began working in London,” adds the award-winning pizzaiolo, who first moved to the UK when he was 19.

“Returning feels like a homecoming and a dream come true.”

Napoli on the Road has partnered with Barcelona based design house Isern Serra for the Soho opening.

Drawing on the minimalism movement, the restaurant’s ground floor design will feature chrome pizza ovens and bar counters alongside white-washed walls and rounded archways.

Downstairs will be mustard-hued counters and contrasts with the pared back atmosphere upstairs.
